Manufacturing Reports
Manufacturing carries a full reporting suite covering cost, capacity, quality and traceability. Most of them depend on shop floor settings being filled in — capacity, rates, cycle times and the reason lists — so a company that records only quantities will find several of them empty.
Cost
| Report | Answers |
|---|---|
| WIP Valuation | What is sitting in work in progress right now. |
| Costed multi-level BOM | What a product should cost, level by level down the bill of materials. |
| Labour Cost and Efficiency | What labour cost, and how the time taken compares with the cycle time. |
Capacity and performance
| Report | Answers |
|---|---|
| Work Centre Load | How loaded each centre is against its capacity. |
| Production Performance | Output against what was planned. |
| Stage Progress | How far through their stages orders have got. |
| Downtime and OEE | Overall equipment effectiveness — availability, performance and quality together. |
Quality
| Report | Answers |
|---|---|
| Rejection and Yield | What was rejected, why, and what proportion came through good. |
| Batch Traceability | Which batches went into which output, and where that output went. |
Quality inspections of production runs are covered separately by the Quality Control app, which adds its own reports.
Planning
| Report | Answers |
|---|---|
| Where-Used | Which products a component goes into. The report to run before changing or discontinuing a part. |
| Make-to-Order | What has to be made to satisfy orders. |
| BOM by item | A product's bill of materials. |
| Work Order Listing | Orders in a period. |
Summary reports
A set of summaries covers production, consumption, plan against actual, costing, open orders and shortages — the figures a production meeting works from, rather than document-level detail.
Job work
| Report | Answers |
|---|---|
| Job Work Register | What went out to subcontractors and what came back. |
| Material with Job Workers | What is still out, and where. |
| GST ITC-04 | Tables 4, 5A, 5B and 5C, where India GST applies. |
Printing
Job cards print with a summary, and job work challans print for the goods to travel with. Work order print quantities reflect what the order is actually for.
The dashboard
The ERP dashboard carries a Manufacturing card summarising the position, so production is visible without opening the module.
