Rezo Orders
An order is what a table has asked for. Lines are added, sent to the kitchen, come back served, and finally become a bill that settles as an ordinary ERP sales document. Along the way lines can be held for a later course, modified, voided or comped — each with its own permission.
Order statuses
| Status | Means |
|---|---|
| Open | Being built. |
| Sent | Gone to the kitchen. |
| Ready | The kitchen has finished it. |
| Served | On the table. |
| Billed | The bill has gone out. |
| Settled | Paid. The sales document is posted. |
| Void | Cancelled. |
Individual lines carry their own status — New, Sent, Preparing, Ready, Served, Void or Comp — because a table rarely moves as one.
Courses
Lines are assigned a course: Starter, Main, Dessert or Drink, or none. The course is what tells the kitchen when to start something, so a main does not arrive while the starter is being eaten.
Modifiers
Modifiers are the variations on a dish — no onions, extra cheese, well done. They go to the kitchen with the line and, where they carry a price, onto the bill.
Void and comp
| Action | Means |
|---|---|
| Void | The line should not have been ordered. Nothing was made. |
| Comp | It was made and given away — an apology, a regular, a mistake in the kitchen. |
Both need the Void / Comp Lines permission, separate from taking orders. The difference matters in reporting: a void costs nothing, a comp costs the food.
Splitting and merging bills
One order can be split into several bills — by guest, or by moving lines between them — and several orders can be merged into one. Both happen at billing rather than at ordering, because that is when the party works out who is paying for what.
Settling
| Payment type | Notes |
|---|---|
| Cash · Card · UPI · Wallet · Voucher | One bill can take more than one. |
A settled bill posts as an ordinary ERP sales document. That is what makes returns, allocations, stock movement and tax reporting work without anything restaurant-specific — and it is why the menu has to be built on real items.
