Counts

Counts

Counts turns a reader into a stocktaking tool. Open a count for a location and, while it is open, reads there go into the count instead of becoming sightings — so walking a zone with a reader produces a counted list rather than a stream of observations.

Where to find it

Go to EdgeBridge > Counts.

Starting a count

  1. Choose the location to count.
  2. Give it a name you will recognise later.
  3. Start counting.
  4. Walk the zone with the reader, or let the fixed readers there collect.
  5. Close the count when the zone is done.

While a count is open for a location, reads there stop becoming sightings. Leave one open by accident and the location's live tracking goes quiet — close counts as soon as the zone is finished.
