Proposals List
The Proposals tab serves as a central repository for all formal business offers, quotations, and bids sent to a specific customer. This view allows your sales team to track the pre-sales journey, monitoring which proposals are pending, accepted, or expired. By keeping these documents linked to the customer profile, you maintain a clear history of what was offered and at what price point.
You can access this list by navigating to Customer Module > Proposals Tab within the customer detailed view. This dashboard is essential for sales forecasting and ensuring timely follow-ups on open business opportunities.
Field Definitions for the Proposals List
The proposal grid displays critical data points to help you manage your sales pipeline:
- Proposal Reference: The unique identification number for the document (e.g., PROP-2026-001). Clicking this link typically opens the full proposal for viewing or printing.
- Customer: Confirms the recipient of the proposal, ensuring the offer is correctly filed under the master account.
- Branch: Specifies which customer location or department the proposal was created for.
- Proposal Date: The date on which the proposal was officially generated and issued to the client.
- Valid Until: The expiry date of the offer. This helps the sales team prioritize follow-ups before the pricing or terms become invalid.
- Currency: The currency used for the financial values in the proposal (e.g., INR, USD).
- Total Amount: The projected gross value of the deal, including all quoted items and estimated taxes.
- Status: Indicates the current stage of the proposal (e.g., Draft, Sent, Accepted, or Rejected).
- Actions:
- View/Edit (Orange Button): Opens the proposal form to adjust line items, discounts, or terms and conditions.
- Delete (Red X): Removes the proposal record. Note: Usually, only "Draft" or "Cancelled" proposals can be deleted to maintain sales audit records.
Note: Once a proposal is accepted, it can often be converted directly into a Sales Order with a single click, ensuring data consistency and saving your team from re-entering item details.
