Burial General Settings
General settings map BurialPro to your accounts and set the defaults every new record takes. It is the first screen to configure, because contributions and claims cannot post correctly until the accounts behind them are chosen.
Where to find it
Go to BurialPro > Settings > General.
GL Accounts
| Account | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Contribution Income GL | Monthly premiums and Motshelo received. |
| Joining Fee Income GL | Joining fees, kept separate from ongoing contributions. |
| Claims Expense GL | Bereavement payouts. |
Defaults
| Setting | What it applies to |
|---|---|
| Default Bank Account | Where contributions are received and payouts made. |
| Default Branch (ERP Dimension) | The branch society transactions are tagged to. |
| Default Joining Fee | The fee charged to a new member unless changed. |
Keep joining fee income separate from contribution income. Growth in one means new members and growth in the other means retained members — a single combined account cannot tell you which is happening.
Demo data
Demo records can be installed to try the module and cleared afterwards. Clear them before going live, or demo members appear in your membership counts and claim figures.
