Shifts
Shifts define working patterns. Where a business runs more than one pattern, each is created here and assigned to employees — and the shift is what attendance times are measured against.

Where shifts are used
- On the employee record, as their working pattern.
- On departments, as the default for staff in them.
- In attendance, where recorded times are compared against the shift.
