Announcement
Announcements broadcast a notice to your customers inside the ERP. Use them for anything they need to know without an email — a holiday closure, a tax filing deadline, planned maintenance, or a change to your support hours. The notice shows on their screens until you expire it.
Overview
An announcement is aimed at one company, a selection of companies, or all of them, and runs between a start and an end date.
Where to find it
Go to Company > Announcement.
Creating announcements
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Description | The message itself. Keep it short — it is read at a glance, not studied. |
| Start Date | When it begins showing. |
| End Date | When it stops. |
| Expired | Ticking this takes it down immediately, regardless of the end date. |
Target it at specific companies, all companies, or a selected group.
Modifying announcements
Edit an announcement at any time to correct or update it. It keeps showing until it is expired or its end date passes.
Expiring announcements
Tick Expired to close an announcement that is no longer relevant.
Set an end date even when you plan to expire it manually. An announcement about last month's deadline still sitting on every customer's screen makes the next one easy to ignore.
Usage
Announcements are the right channel when the message is operational and time-boxed — closures, deadlines, maintenance windows. They are not a marketing channel; for that use Blog Posts on your frontend.
