Roles And Permissions
In our system, module access is governed by role-based permissions, ensuring that users have access only to the modules relevant to their roles. This section outlines how permissions are assigned based on roles and how to manage them effectively.
To Create Role based permission , goto Setup > Users&Void > Roles&Permissions > AddNew
Key Concepts:
- Roles: Defined sets of permissions assigned to users based on their job functions.
- All Features :Selecting the "All Feature" checkbox for a specific user role is a shortcut that allows you to grant access to all modules at once, rather than selecting each module individually.
- Modules: Different functional areas within the system that users need access to, such as Sales, Finance, Inventory, etc.
- Permissions: Specific rights assigned to roles to perform actions within modules, such as view, edit, delete, and create.
We can edit and update existing role-based permissions. Assigning the minimum necessary permissions to each role helps reduce security risks in the system.
