Woocommerce Failure logs
Documentation for WooCommerce Failure Logs
The WooCommerce Failure Logs screen in the ERP system helps users monitor and troubleshoot integration issues between WooCommerce and ERP. The logs provide details about failed sync attempts or errors that occurred during data exchange, ensuring smooth operation between the two systems.
Screen Breakdown:
Search Log:
- This field allows you to search through the logs for specific entries using keywords or entity IDs (WooCommerce or ERP). Enter a term in the box and press the Search button to filter the results.
Clear Logs Button:
- The Clear Logs button allows you to remove old log entries from the system. This is useful for clearing up space or removing irrelevant or resolved errors from the log.
Log Table Columns:
- Log Type: Specifies the type of log. For example, it could indicate whether the issue is related to product sync, category sync, or other operations.
- Woo Entity ID: Displays the entity ID from WooCommerce that triggered the error (e.g., a product ID, category ID, or order ID).
- ERP Entity ID: Shows the corresponding entity ID from the ERP system that is linked to the WooCommerce entity.
- Error Message: Provides details on what caused the failure, helping users understand and fix the issue. Common reasons could be API connection failures, invalid credentials, or mismatched data structures.
- Created At: Shows the timestamp when the error was logged, helping to trace the event's timing.
No Records Found:
- If there are no logs to display, the message "No records" will appear, as shown in the screenshot.
Clear Logs Feature:
If you no longer need the logs or want to clear the old error logs, you can use the Clear Logs button. This action will truncate all existing failure logs and remove any historical records, freeing up space and allowing for a fresh logging start.
Best Practices:
- Regularly Monitor Logs: Check logs frequently to spot any issues with WooCommerce sync processes, especially after new updates or configuration changes.
- Clear Logs When Necessary: Use the Clear Logs button to clean up old or irrelevant logs. This helps to keep the logs uncluttered and focused on current errors.
- Search Specific Errors: Utilize the search functionality to quickly find specific errors related to WooCommerce entities by searching for the entity ID or error messages.
Additional Notes:
- Ensure that WooCommerce API credentials (key, secret, and URL) are correctly configured in the ERP to minimize errors.
- Pay attention to recurring errors and investigate root causes to prevent future occurrences.
