The Customer Payments List displays every payment recorded against customers in TamilAccounting. Use it to track collections, spot money that has come in but has not yet been applied to an invoice, and allocate, edit or void payment transactions.

Customer Aging Summary
When you select a specific customer in the filter, an aging summary appears above the list, showing the shape of their outstanding debt.
| Band | What it shows |
| Current | Total due for transactions within the current billing cycle. |
| 1-30 Days | Balance overdue by 1 to 30 days. |
| 31-60 Days | Balance overdue by 31 to 60 days. |
| Over 60 Days | Balance outstanding for more than 60 days. |
| Total Balance | The cumulative amount owed across all aging periods. |
Payment Table
| Column | Description |
| Type | Identifies the transaction as a Customer Payment. |
| # (Reference) | The payment reference. Click it to open the Customer Payment View. |
| Date | The date the payment was recorded. |
| Branch | The branch associated with the payment. |
| Amount | The total value of the payment received. |
| Balance | The remaining unallocated amount of the payment. |
Payment Status
| Status | Meaning |
| Unallocated | No part of the payment has been linked to an invoice. |
| Partially Allocated | Part of the payment has been linked; a balance remains. |
| Allocated | The payment has been fully applied to outstanding invoices. |
Unallocated money is the thing to watch here. The cash is in your bank, but the customer's invoices still show as outstanding until the payment is allocated — which can make a paying customer look like a debtor and even trigger a credit block.
