Locations
Locations are the physical or virtual sites where stock is held. Also called warehouses, they are used across Sales, Purchases, Manufacturing and Inventory — every stock movement happens at a location, which makes them foundational rather than cosmetic.
Where to find it
Go to Inventory > Settings (top right) > Locations.

Add New Location
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Location Code | Yes | Unique short code. Referenced by imports and transactions, so keep it stable. |
| Location Name | Yes | The name users will pick from lists. |
| Address | No | Where the site actually is. |
| Contact details | No | Phone, email and contact person. |
Action Buttons
Edit changes a location; the Inactive toggle retires one. A location holding stock or carrying transaction history cannot be deleted — deactivate it instead.
Locations are not only warehouses. A van, a consignment site, or a quarantine area for goods awaiting inspection all work well as locations, and modelling them properly keeps stock where it actually is.
