Maintenance Types
Maintenance Types classify the work done on your vehicles — routine service, tyres, brakes, bodywork, a breakdown repair. Classifying it is what lets you see whether your fleet cost is planned maintenance or unplanned failure.
Where to find it
Go to EcoFleet > Settings > Maintenance Types.
What a record holds
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | The category of work. |
| Description | What it covers. |
| Interval | How often it is due, where the type is scheduled. |
Managing the list
| Action | Notes |
|---|---|
| Add | Creates an entry. |
| Edit | Changes it. Existing records follow the new name. |
| Delete | Blocked while records still reference it — deactivate instead. |
Separate scheduled work from breakdowns in the type list. A fleet whose maintenance spend is mostly unplanned is telling you something about its age or its servicing, and a single combined category hides it completely.
