Quality Reports
Quality Control adds six reports to the ERP's report pages. Five sit under Manufacturing reports and one under Supplier reports, all of them printable to screen, PDF or Excel like every other report. Between them they cover the operational picture, the registers an auditor asks for, and the certificate a customer asks for.
Quality Inspections
Inspections of every source — incoming goods, production and job work, transfers, deliveries and customer returns — by item: results, quantity failed, first-pass yield, the checks that fail most, and the quality holds still open.
| Parameter | Notes |
|---|---|
| Inspected | The date range. |
| Source | One of the five document kinds, or all. |
| Item | One item, or all inspected items. |
| Batch No | Narrows to one batch. |
Supplier Quality
Each supplier and job worker by the quality of what they delivered: inspections, quantity inspected and failed, quantity rejected, and a quality score out of 100. Takes a date range and a supplier, or all of them. Found under Supplier reports rather than Manufacturing, because that is where a buyer looks.
Certificate of Analysis
The certificate of analysis of an inspection, or of every inspected line of a document — a delivery's certificate for the customer: each check with its specification, the result and the conformity.
| Parameter | Notes |
|---|---|
| Source | Which kind of document. |
| Document No | Prints every inspected line of that document. |
| Inspection # | Prints one inspection instead of a whole document. |
An inspected customer delivery also carries Certificate of Analysis as an action on its own view, so the certificate goes out with the goods without anybody navigating to the report page.
Non-Conformance Reports
The NCR register: each non-conformance with its item, party, severity, disposition and cost of poor quality, with totals by disposition. Filter by the raised date range and status, or give one NCR # to print that report in full.
Corrective and Preventive Actions
The CAPA register: type, owner, due date, actions done, effectiveness and status. Give one CAPA # to print it in full with its root cause and its actions — that single-CAPA print is the document to hand an auditor who asks how one problem was dealt with.
Process Capability
Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk of every measured check, worst first, with the points out of statistical control. Takes a date range and an item. Pp and Ppk describe the process over the whole period; Cp and Cpk describe it within its subgroups, and a wide gap between the two pairs says the process is shifting between subgroups rather than varying inside them.
Capability needs measurements and specification limits. Checks recorded as attributes, or measurements with no limits on the inspection plan, cannot appear here.
Permission
All six are guarded by Quality Reports, which can be granted without any of the operational areas. That suits a manager, an auditor or a customer-facing role that needs to print evidence but should not be able to inspect, decide or disposition.
