The GST e-Invoice Overview says where your electronic invoicing stands: how many invoices have been registered, how many are waiting, how many failed, and how much API credit is left. On a working setup it is a page to glance at; the numbers that matter are the failures and the credit.
What it shows
| Figure | Meaning |
| Registered | Invoices with an IRN from the portal. |
| Pending | Not yet sent. |
| Failed | The portal did not accept them. These need attention. |
| Cancelled | Registered and then cancelled. |
| Credit remaining | API calls left. See e-Invoice API credit. |
Reading it
| What you see | Usually means |
| Pending is growing | Registration is not running, or credit has run out. |
| Failed is not zero | Open them — the portal's own reason is on each record. |
| Credit near zero | Top up before the next bulk run. |
Exceptions and reconciliation
| Tab | Answers |
| Sales Reconcile | Do your invoices and the portal's records agree? |
| Sales Exceptions | What could not be registered, and why. |
| Purchase GSTR-2B | What your suppliers have registered against you. |
| Purchase Exceptions | Purchase documents that do not match. |
Reconciling regularly is what stops a return being assembled from figures that do not agree. The exceptions tabs are the working list; the reconcile tabs are the check.
A B2B invoice that has not been registered is not a valid tax invoice. Pending and failed counts are not a backlog to work through when convenient — they are invoices that cannot properly be issued yet.
