Cover Products
Products are the cover plans the society sells. Each defines the monthly premium, the cover amount payable, and the age bands and dependent limits that apply — so a member joining a plan gets consistent terms rather than individually negotiated ones.

What a cover product defines
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code / Name | How the plan is identified and sold. |
| Monthly Cover | The premium a member pays. |
| Cover Amount | What is paid out on a death. |
| Age Bands | Age Min and Age Max — who the plan will accept. |
| Dependent Cover Limits | How many children, parents and extended dependants the plan allows. |
| Commission % | What an agent earns on the plan. |
| Status | Whether the plan is still being sold. |
Price the plan against the age band it accepts. A product open to older members at the same premium as a young one will pay out sooner and more often — and the gap shows up in net fund movement long before anyone connects it to the product.
Creating a product inline
A cover product can be created from the member form with Create Cover Product inline, for a plan agreed while a member is in front of you. Review inline-created products afterwards — they bypass the deliberation a plan normally gets.
Changing a member's product
Cover changes go through an amendment, not by editing the member. A downgrade can re-state arrears, which is exactly why it needs approval.
