Items, Services and Inventory Reports

Inventory reports value your stock, plan what to buy, and trace how every item has moved. They answer the two questions stock always raises: what is it worth on the balance sheet, and is there enough of it to trade with next week.

Where to find them

Go to Reports > Inventory. Set the filters on the right, then click Print.

Valuation and planning

Report	What it shows
Inventory Valuation Report	The value of stock held at each of your locations — the figure that supports the stock line on the balance sheet.
Inventory Planning Report	What to buy, based on demand against what is in hand.
Stock Check Sheets	A printable sheet for counting physical stock against recorded balances.

Print the stock check sheet without balances if you can. Counters who can see the expected figure tend to confirm it rather than count, which turns a stocktake into an exercise in agreeing with the system.

Inventory valuation on Inventory Status

The Inventory Status report carries a Value column beside quantity on hand — quantity multiplied by standard cost, material plus labour plus overhead — with a Total Inventory Value at the foot.

The column and the total are shown only to users with the standard cost permission. Anyone without it sees the report exactly as it was, so cost information does not leak into a report given to people who should see quantities only.

The same valuation appears per location on an item's Item Status tab, with a total. It answers the stock-taking question directly: not just how many are where, but what the stock in each place is worth.

Stock check sheet

The stock check sheet exports the item barcode to Excel along with everything else, so a sheet taken to the floor can be scanned against rather than read off.

Movement and cost

Report	What it shows
Inventory Movement Report	How each item has moved in and out.
Costed Inventory Movement Report	The same movement with cost and value attached, so you can see the money as well as the quantity.

Sales side

Item Sales Summary Report	Sales summarised by item.

Purchase side
