Customers Projects List
The Projects tab tracks long-term engagements, service contracts and multi-phase work for a customer. Linking a project to the account consolidates its tasks, costs and timelines under one record, so sales and delivery are working from the same picture.

Why costs are tracked against a project
Purchases, expenses and stock movements can each be tagged to a project — see the Select a Project field on Purchase Orders and Expenses. That is what makes project profitability answerable rather than estimated.
A project is only as useful as the costs tagged to it. If purchases and expenses are not assigned as they are entered, the project shows revenue with no cost against it and looks far more profitable than it is.
