Customer Deposits

Customer Deposits

The Deposits tab on a customer record shows the money that customer has placed with you — each deposit, its maturity and what you will owe when it falls due. It is the liability side of your relationship with them.

Where to find it

Open a customer and select the Deposits tab.

What it shows

ColumnDescription
Deposit #The deposit reference.
Deposit TypeFixed or recurring.
Deposit DateWhen it started.
Deposit AmountWhat was placed.
Interest RateWhat you pay on it.
Maturity DateWhen it falls due.
Maturity AmountWhat you will owe.
StatusActive, matured, closed or withdrawn early.
Read this tab alongside the Loans tab. A customer who both borrows and deposits has two positions with you running in opposite directions, and looking at either alone gives the wrong picture of the relationship.
