Customer Deposits
The Deposits tab on a customer record shows the money that customer has placed with you — each deposit, its maturity and what you will owe when it falls due. It is the liability side of your relationship with them.
Where to find it
Open a customer and select the Deposits tab.
What it shows
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Deposit # | The deposit reference. |
| Deposit Type | Fixed or recurring. |
| Deposit Date | When it started. |
| Deposit Amount | What was placed. |
| Interest Rate | What you pay on it. |
| Maturity Date | When it falls due. |
| Maturity Amount | What you will owe. |
| Status | Active, matured, closed or withdrawn early. |
Read this tab alongside the Loans tab. A customer who both borrows and deposits has two positions with you running in opposite directions, and looking at either alone gives the wrong picture of the relationship.
