Activity and documents

Tabs alongside carry the calls, meetings and tasks against the deal, plus any proposals or estimates sent.

Compare Expected Close Date against the last activity logged. A deal whose close date keeps moving while nothing is recorded against it has usually stalled — the date is being updated, the relationship is not.

Closing the opportunity

Mark it won or lost as soon as you know. Won deals move into a quotation or sales order; lost ones leave the forecast, which is what keeps the remaining pipeline honest.
