View Employee Payment
The Employee Payment View is the record of one payment to a member of staff — what was paid, from which account, and what it settled. It is where a payment is verified and where allocation is corrected.
Where to find it
Open any payment from Employee Payments Inquiry.
Payment details
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Reference | The payment identifier. |
| Employee | Who was paid. |
| Date | When the payment was made. |
| From Bank Account | The account funds left. |
| Payment Type | How the money was sent. |
| Amount | The value paid. |
| Bank Charge | Any fee deducted on the transfer. |
Allocations
What the payment settled — payslips, reimbursements, or other outstanding amounts — with how much was applied to each and any balance left unallocated.
General Ledger
| Account | Effect |
|---|---|
| Salary Payable | Debited — the liability to the employee is reduced. |
| Bank / Cash | Credited — funds leave the business. |
| Bank Charges | Debited where a fee applied. |
Actions
Allocate matches the payment to what it settles, Print produces a record, and Void reverses it — restoring the liability it cleared.
A payment showing an unallocated balance is money out with the payslip still reading unpaid. Clear it through Employee Allocations, or payroll status and the employee ledger will keep disagreeing.
