Fixed Assets List and Inquiry

The Fixed Asset Management screen allows you to view, manage, and perform actions on your company's physical assets. This centralized list helps you track asset lifecycles, monitor depreciation values, and ensure financial accuracy for audit purposes. To access this list, navigate to Fixed Assets > Click the "Assets" Tab.
 
Filters Section
Use these filters to narrow down the asset list based on classification or operational status.
  • Class: Filter assets by their broad accounting classification (e.g., All Classes, Fixed Assets).
  • Category: Refine the list by specific asset types (e.g., IT Equipment, Furniture, Vehicles).
  • Show Inactive: Check this box to include assets that have been disposed of or are no longer in active use.
  • Search Button: Click the green Search button to apply the selected filters and refresh the table.
 
Add New Fixed Asset
The blue + New Fixed Asset button opens the asset registration form. Use this to enter details for a newly acquired asset, including its initial cost, depreciation method, and expected lifecycle.
 
Assets Table
This table provides a comprehensive summary of all recorded assets and their current financial standing.
  • # (Asset ID): A unique identifier for each asset. Clicking the blue link (e.g., 1013) opens the Detail View for that specific asset.
  • Description: The name or brief identifying description of the asset (e.g., Dell Tall tower Servers).
  • UOM: The Unit of Measure assigned to the asset (e.g., CM).
  • Class: The accounting class the asset belongs to.
  • Rate or Lifecycle: The annual depreciation percentage or the total years of expected service (e.g., 20%).
  • Method: The accounting formula used to calculate value loss over time (e.g., Straight Line).
  • Purchased: The official date the asset was acquired.
  • Initial: The original purchase price or starting value of the asset.
  • Depreciations: The accumulated total of all depreciation expenses recorded for the asset to date.
  • Current: The current book value of the asset (Initial minus Depreciations).
  • Liquidation or Sale: Displays the value recovered if the asset has been sold or liquidated.
  • Status: The current operational state, such as Active (in use) or Purchasable (available for procurement).
 
More Actions Menu
Each row includes action icons to manage the asset's data and lifecycle:
  • Edit: Opens the edit screen to modify asset details such as the description, depreciation rate, or status. Use this to correct errors or update asset info.
  • Delete: Permanently removes the asset record from the system.
