End of Service Benefit
Leaving Indemnity, also called End of Service Benefit, calculates what is owed to an employee when they leave. It is a statutory entitlement in several Gulf countries, based on length of service and final salary.
Where to find it
Go to HRM > New > Leaving Indemnity. The form opens as a popup.
This screen appears only where the company country enables it. End of service benefit is a statutory requirement in specific jurisdictions, so the menu entry is switched on by country rather than by permission.
Processing an indemnity
- Select a department from Select a Department.
- Select the employee from Select an Employee.
- Click Process ESB.
What the calculation uses
| Input | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Date of joining | Length of service is the primary driver of the entitlement. |
| Final salary | The rate the benefit is calculated against. |
| Employment status | Whether the employee resigned or was terminated can change the entitlement. |
Check the employee's date of joining before processing. Service length is calculated from it, so a wrong joining date produces a wrong statutory payment — in a jurisdiction where the amount is legally prescribed.
