The Branch View provides a focused breakdown of a specific delivery location or departmental sub-entity linked to a parent customer. This view allows you to verify the unique logistical and accounting configurations that apply only to this specific site, ensuring that orders are dispatched and recorded correctly for localized operations.
 
At the top of this view, you can manage the record using these primary actions: Edit to update branch details; Add New to create another branch; and Resend Welcome Email to notify the branch contact with their relevant details.
 
Name and Contact
This section identifies the branch and its link to the parent company:
  • Customer: The name of the parent customer account this branch is associated with.
  • Branch Name: The full descriptive name of the location (e.g., Downtown Retail Hub).
  • Branch Short Name: The unique code or nickname used for quick identification in the system.
  • Tax Group: The specific tax rule assigned to this branch, determining how GST/VAT is calculated for its transactions.
 
Sales
Operational defaults that streamline transaction processing for this location:
  • Sales Person: The staff member responsible for managing sales and relationships for this specific branch.
  • Sales Area: The assigned territory (e.g., Local, Global) used for regional sales reporting.
  • Sales Group: The specific category used to group this branch with others for analytical purposes.
  • Default Inventory Location: The warehouse from which this branch's orders are typically fulfilled.
