Members
Members is the register of everyone in the society. Each record carries their identity, their cover product, their contribution position and where they are in the membership lifecycle — from capture through the onboarding workflow to active cover.
Where to find it
Go to BurialPro > Members.
What a member record holds
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Member Reference | The society's own number for them. |
| First / Middle / Last Name | The principal member. A name is required. |
| Omang | The national ID. Required, digits only, no spaces, within the configured length. |
| DOB / Gender / Marital Status | Personal details. |
| Phone / Email | Contact, and where SMS is sent. |
| Home Address / Postal Address | Where they live and receive post. |
| Cover Plan | The product they are on, from Products. |
| Monthly Contribution | What they pay. |
| Pay Point / Channel | Where and how they pay. |
| Agent | Who signed them up. |
| Region | Where they belong. |
| Status | Where they are in the lifecycle. |
The onboarding workflow
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Capture Member | The record is created and a reference issued. |
| Mark as Checked | Details verified. |
| Approve → Waiting Period | Approved. The joining fee is receipted on supervisor approval. |
| Activate Member | Cover begins, once the waiting period has ended. |
| Mark Records Filed | The paper file is complete. |
The workflow only moves forward — Cannot move backwards in the workflow is enforced. Check the details before approving, because correcting a step afterwards means an amendment rather than a click back.
Terminating and rejoining
A member can be terminated through an amendment. Only a terminated member may rejoin, and rejoining puts them back into the waiting period rather than straight onto cover.
Membership Card
Members can be issued a card, and the register shows whether one has been issued.
