Fuel Log
Fuel Log records every fill — litres, cost, odometer and station, per vehicle and driver. Fuel is usually the largest running cost in a fleet, and the log is what turns it from a monthly bill into a figure you can attribute to a specific vehicle.
Where to find it
Go to EcoFleet > Fuel Log.
What a fill records
| Field | Description |

| Driver | Who filled it. |
| Date | When. |
| Litres | How much fuel. |
| Cost per Litre | The rate paid. |
| Total Cost | What the fill cost. |
| Odometer | The reading at the pump. This is what makes consumption calculable. |
| Fuel Station | Where, from Fuel Stations. |
| Fuel Type | What was put in. |
| Notes | Anything unusual. |
The odometer reading is the field people skip and the one that matters. Without it, litres and cost are just spending — with it, you get consumption per kilometre and can tell a thirsty vehicle from a heavily used one.
Fuel and accounting
Fuel entries carry a transaction reference, so a fill recorded here links to the purchase transaction in the ledger rather than being tracked separately.
Checking consumption
Each vehicle carries a consumption rate on its record. Actual litres per kilometre from this log set against that rate is the quickest way to spot a mechanical problem, or fuel leaving the fleet by other means.
