Kit Items View

Kit / Alias Items
The Kit (or Alias) feature allows the user to group multiple existing items into a single bundle. This is useful for selling "Product Sets" or "Combo Packs" where the system tracks the individual stock of each part within the kit. It also allows for Alias naming, where one physical item can be sold under different names or codes.

Kit Information Tab
This is where the user defines the basic details and the components that make up the kit:
  • Barcode: The unique scannable code for the entire kit.
  • Description: The name or short explanation of the bundle (e.g., "Sample Kit").
  • Category: The group or department the kit belongs to.
  • Unit: The primary unit of measure for the kit itself (e.g., "Set," "Pack," or "Centimeter").
  • Image: The user can upload a photo of the complete kit for easy identification.
  • Components Table: This list shows every Stock Item included in the kit. It displays the Category, Quantity, and Standard Cost of each piece. The system uses these to calculate the total value of the kit.

Sales Prices Tab (for Kits)
Since a kit is sold as a single unit, it requires its own pricing rules:
  • Location & Currency: Set different prices based on the branch and local currency.
  • Sales Type: Define rates for Retail, Wholesale, or specific customer groups.
  • Calculated Price: The system can automatically suggest a price based on the total cost of all components. The user then saves this as the official selling rate.

Purchase Prices Tab (for Kits)
While kits are usually assembled internally, the user can still set up purchase data if they buy a pre-packed bundle from a vendor:
  • Supplier: Select the vendor who provides the kit.
  • Price: The cost charged by the supplier for the complete bundle.
  • Conversion Factor: Defines how the supplier's unit matches the internal system unit.
