Kit Items View

Kit Items View

The Kit Items View shows a bundle's makeup and pricing. It confirms which components the kit draws on and at what quantities, and holds the selling and buying prices that apply to the bundle as a whole.

Where to find it

Open any kit code from the Kits List.

Kit / Alias Items

A kit groups several existing items into one bundle, useful for product sets and combo packs where the system continues to track each part's stock individually. The same feature supports alias naming, where one physical item is sold under a different name — see Virtual Items.

Kit Information Tab

FieldDescription
Kit CodeThe code the bundle is sold under.
DescriptionThe name shown on documents.
CategoryThe group the kit is filed under.
ComponentsEach item in the bundle with its quantity per kit.

Sales Prices Tab (for Kits)

Selling prices for the bundle, set per location, currency, sales type and unit exactly as they are for an ordinary item. The kit is priced as a unit — it is not the sum of its components unless you make it so, which is what allows a bundle discount.

Purchase Prices Tab (for Kits)

Buying prices held against the kit. Kits are a selling construct, so these matter only where a supplier quotes for the assembled set rather than its parts.

What you can sell is limited by the scarcest component. A kit shows no stock figure of its own, so check availability on the parts before promising the bundle.
