Campaign Groups
Campaign Groups are the audiences you send email campaigns to. A group is a named list — leads, customers, a segment you have defined — and a campaign is always sent to a group rather than to individuals.
Where to find it
Go to CRM > Settings > Campaign Groups.
Adding a Campaign Group
Click Add New to open the popup.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | The group name, shown when choosing an audience for a campaign. |
| Description | No | Who the group contains and why, which matters once several exist. |
Managing groups
The list shows every group you have created. Edit renames a group; groups can be removed where no campaign depends on them.
Two steps, not one
Creating a group does not populate it. The group is the container; the people go in through Campaign Group Contacts. A campaign sent to an empty group reports success and reaches nobody.
Naming groups usefully
Name them by who is in them rather than by the campaign that created them — Leads, Q3 web form rather than Newsletter 3. Groups outlive campaigns, and a name describing the audience stays true.
