Due Types

Due Types

Due Types define how often a loan is repaid — monthly, fortnightly, weekly, or whatever suits the borrower's income. The due type drives the repayment schedule, so it decides both the instalment size and how closely you are watching the loan.

Where to find it

Go to Customer Loan > Settings > Due Types.

Field reference

FieldDescription
Due TypeThe repayment frequency.
DaysThe interval between dues.
DescriptionWhat the type is for.
Match the due frequency to how the borrower earns. Someone paid weekly repays weekly far more reliably than they make a monthly lump sum — the frequency is a collection decision, not an administrative one.

Where it is used

A due type is selected on New Loan and generates the schedule shown in Loans. Overdue dues then drive Penalties.
