Work Orders
Work Orders lists every production order in the system. By default it shows what is ongoing and pending, so the screen opens on the work that still needs doing rather than years of completed history. Filters narrow it to the order, item, customer or location you are chasing.
What a work order is
A work order is the document that carries a production task: who authorised it, what is to be made, how much, by when, who it is assigned to and where the finished goods go. Everything issued, costed and produced attaches to it.
Where to find it
Go to Manufacturing > Work Orders.

Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Raised but not yet released to the floor. |
| Released | Cleared to start. |
| Issued | Components have gone out to the order. On an Unassemble order this reads Collected instead. |
| Produced / Manufactured | Finished goods have been received. |
| Closed | Complete. No further movement. |
| Void | Cancelled. |
An order sitting at Released with nothing issued is the usual sign of a stalled job — the paperwork is done but no materials have left stock, so nothing is actually being made.
