Grade Setup

The grade setup is the first setup in HRM to start. With help of grade, you can create different types of allowances based on grades.

To set up the grade, go to HRM > Settings > Grade setup.

Here you can find list of Grades here.

  1. Grade Definition: Each grade is defined with a specific salary range, including minimum and maximum values. This ensures that employees within a particular grade fall within the designated salary bracket.

  2. Allowed Leaves: Along with salary ranges, each grade also specifies the allowed types and amounts of leave. These include annual leave, casual leave, and maternity leave. This helps in standardizing leave policies across the organization.

  3. Direct Connection to Employees: Grades are directly linked to individual employees. This connection is crucial as it allows the system to automatically apply the appropriate allowances and leave entitlements based on the employee’s grade.

By using grades, we can ensure consistency and fairness in the allocation of allowances and leaves, tailored to the level and role of each employee within the organization.

Fill in the following details:

  • Description: Enter a meaningful name for the grade.
  • Minimum Gross Salary(mandatory field): Enter the minimum salary that falls within this grade per annum.
  • Maximum Gross Salary(mandatory field): Enter the maximum salary that falls within this grade per annum.
  • Inactive: Select whether the grade should be active or inactive.
Finally, click Add new button to add the new Grade Setup. The grade is the base for our Payroll Allowances. So create them with proper list of it.
