Companies

Companies

Companies is the master list of every company you have created for your customers. It is where you check a company's pack, user count and status, change its domains, move it to another reseller, or take it out of service. Everything you sell ends up on this screen.

Overview

Companies are entities created under customer accounts. Each has its own database, its own subscription and its own users, and this list is the single place all of them are visible from.

Listing and filtering companies

Listing companies

All companies associated with your account are listed here. Use the filters to narrow the list when it grows.

NameThe company name.
TypeCustomer, reseller or auditor.
PackThe subscription pack currently active.
StatusWhether the company is live or disabled.

Types dropdown

Categorise the list by company type to separate ordinary customers from resellers and auditor companies.

Creating a new company

Steps to create a new company

  1. Go to New > New Company, or Customers > New > Customer — both forms are identical.
  2. Fill in the customer information in the first two columns.
  3. Provide the company details in the third column. Email and password are mandatory.
  4. Copy the password shown — it is what lets the customer log into their company.

The full field reference is on New Company.

Reseller packs

Overview of reseller packs

SettingWhat it is for
Frontend URLSecures API calls by restricting them to a single source.
Backend URLThe reseller's own ERP address, where their subscriptions and activity are managed.

Creating additional companies

Steps to create additional companies

  1. Go to New > Another Company.
  2. Select the customer and enter the new company's details.

The customer can then log in with the same email and switch between their companies. See Another Company.

User subscriptions

Managing user subscriptions

Subscription management is handled at Company > User Subscriptions — create, edit, add extra users, add extra storage, hold or extend. See Company Subscriptions.

Company details

Company details overview

Opening a company shows its active pack, number of users, date created, country and status.

Changing domains

FieldDescription
New Main DomainThe customer's public website address.
New ERP Sub DomainThe address they log into the ERP on.
New POS DomainOptional, where they use POS.
Demo Login AccountThe account behind the POS "Try Demo" button.
Skip DNS verificationTesting only. Leave it off in production — it exists to bypass the check that the domain actually points here.
Change a domain only when DNS is already pointing at the new address. Saving first and pointing DNS later leaves the customer unable to reach their ERP in the meantime.

Moving a company

A company can be transferred from one reseller to another, and a chart of accounts can be copied from one company into another. Both are shown with the source and destination named before you confirm.

Inactivating or disabling a company

Steps to manage company status

  1. Open the company from the list.
  2. Change its status, or modify or remove it from the customer's account.
Disabling a company blocks its logins but keeps its data. Removing it does not — take a backup first if there is any chance the customer comes back.
