Credit Notes List

The Sales Credit Note List displays all credit notes created in the system, including both customer credit notes and journal-entry-based adjustments. This centralized dashboard allows you to filter, review, share, and manage all credit transactions efficiently.

Filters Section

Filters help you quickly locate specific credit note records based on various criteria:

  • Reference: Enter a specific credit note reference number to find a particular transaction.
  • Customer: Select a customer from the dropdown to view all credit notes associated with their account. You can also select "All Customers" to see total records.
  • Date Range: Filter the list between specific "From" and "To" dates (e.g., 02/03/2023 - 02/03/2026).
  • Salesman: View credit notes created by or assigned to a specific salesperson.
  • Branch: Users can filter the list by a specific business branch. This filter is only visible if "Use Branches Only" is enabled in Setup -> Preference.
  • Department: Users can filter the list by department. This filter is only visible if "Use Branches and Department" is enabled in Setup -> Preference.
  • Zero Values: A checkbox to include or exclude transactions with zero value.

Credit Note Status
The status column indicates the current state of the credit transaction:
  • Draft: The credit note is saved but not yet finalized.
  • Credited: A normal credit note that has been finalized but not yet fully applied to an invoice.
  • Partially Allocated: Only a portion of the credit note amount has been applied to a customer invoice.
  • Allocated: The credit note amount has been fully applied/linked to one or more customer invoices.
