Let's give a list of all your customers and their branches. We have a simple listing page, there you can filter it to view appropriate customer. And also View page connected with customers you can view in detail. 

Editing Customer Details :
Click the    icon in the list to edit the customer's details

Deleting Customer Details :
    To delete 
 details of your customer, Click the  icon in the list page to delete the customer details

Overview:

The Customer List View in TamilAccounting ERP provides users with an organized and easy-to-navigate interface to manage and interact with customer records. This screen allows users to search, filter, and perform actions on customer records, such as editing details or deleting customers. It also offers a bulk import feature for adding customers using an Excel file.

Key Sections:

  1. Filter and Search Options:

    • Currency: Use the dropdown menu to filter customers based on the currency in which their accounts are managed. This is particularly useful for businesses dealing with customers in multiple currencies.
    • Sales Type: Filter customers based on the type of sales associated with them (e.g., Retail, Wholesale). This helps in quickly identifying customers relevant to a specific sales strategy.
    • Search: Enter keywords or specific information to search for a particular customer. This feature enables quick access to customer details.
  2. Customer List:

    • Name: Displays the customer’s name. Clicking on the customer name takes you to the detailed customer view where you can see and edit all customer-related information.
    • Company: Shows the name of the company associated with the customer, providing an overview of the organization they represent.
    • Sales Type: Indicates the sales category the customer falls under, such as Retail or Wholesale.
    • Currency: The currency in which the customer's transactions are conducted. This helps ensure all financial data is consistent with the customer’s preferred currency.
    • Phone: Displays the customer’s contact phone number. You can click on the phone icon to initiate a call directly if your device supports this feature.
    • Email: Shows the customer’s email address. Clicking the email icon allows you to send an email directly to the customer using your default email client.
    • Edit Icon: Clicking the pencil icon allows you to edit the customer’s details directly from the list.
    • Delete Icon: The red "X" icon allows you to delete the customer record. Please note that deleting a customer is irreversible and should be done with caution.
  3. Customer Import Link:

    • Located in the top-right corner of the screen, the Import Export link allows users to import customer data in bulk using an Excel file. This feature is particularly useful when migrating from another system or adding a large number of customers at once.
    • Import Process:
      • Clicking the Import Export link will guide you through the process of uploading an Excel file formatted according to the system’s specifications.
      • The import function ensures that all customer data, including names, contact details, sales types, and associated companies, are correctly uploaded and integrated into the ERP system.
      • This feature saves time and reduces the risk of manual entry errors, making it a valuable tool for efficient customer management.

How to Use:

  1. Filtering and Searching:

    • Use the Currency dropdown to filter customers based on their transaction currency.
    • Select the Sales Type to narrow down the list to customers who fall under a specific sales category.
    • Use the Search bar to find specific customers by entering relevant keywords, such as their name, company, or contact information.
  2. Interacting with Customer Records:

    • Click on a customer’s name to view and edit their detailed information.
    • Use the phone and email icons for quick communication with customers.
    • Click the pencil icon to edit customer details directly from the list.
    • To remove a customer, click the red "X" icon, but be cautious as this action is permanent.
  3. Importing Customers:

    • Click the Import Export link to upload an Excel file of customer data.
    • Follow the prompts to ensure the file is correctly formatted and all required fields are completed.
    • Submit the file to import the customer data into the ERP system.

Tips:

  • Use Filters Efficiently: Regularly use the filter options to manage large lists of customers, ensuring you focus on relevant segments.
  • Double-Check Before Deletion: Since customer deletion is irreversible, always confirm that you want to delete a customer before proceeding.
  • Utilize Bulk Import: When adding multiple customers, use the import feature to save time and maintain consistency in data entry.
