Branches Reports
Branch reports split your results by branch and department, so you can see which parts of the business are producing the numbers rather than only the company total. They appear once dimensions are switched on — without them there is nothing to split by.
Where to find them
Go to Reports > Branches. The group appears only when dimensions are enabled in Company Setup.
Branch Summary
A summary of the branches you select, printed from the listed branches.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| From Branch / To Branch | The range of branches to include. |
| Show Balance | Includes balance figures in the summary. |
| Comments | Text printed on the finished document. |
| Orientation | Portrait or landscape. |
| Destination | PDF/Printer or Excel. |
Branch reporting is only as good as the tagging behind it. A transaction entered without a branch shows in the company total but in no branch, so the parts will not add up to the whole — check that branch is set on your entry screens before relying on these figures.
Getting more branch detail
Several reports in other groups also filter by branch and department, and often give more depth than the summary here:
| Question | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Balance sheet or P&L for one branch | General Ledger Reports |
| Customer balances by branch | Sales Reports — Customer Branch Balances |
| Ledger transactions by branch and department | General Ledger Reports — GL Account Transactions |
