Reports
Reports summarise what the system holds into something you can act on, file or submit. Every report prints to PDF or exports to Excel, and the layouts can be redesigned to your own branding — which is what makes them usable both internally and for tax authorities and government portals.
How every report works
The mechanics are the same across the whole module, so they are worth learning once.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Filter panel | Sits on the right of the page. Set your parameters here, then press Print. |
| Date range | The period reported on. Nearly every report has one. |
| Destination | PDF/Printer for a document to send or file, Excel for figures you want to work on. |
| Comments | Free text printed on the finished document. |
| Suppress Zeros | Hides rows with nothing in them, which usually halves the length of a report. |
| Orientation | Portrait or landscape, where a report is wide. |
The report groups
| Group | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Sales | Customer balances, aging, receipts, sales analysis and profitability. |
| Supplier | Supplier balances, aging, payments, outstanding GRNs, remittances. |
| Inventory | Valuation, planning, movement, stock check sheets, purchasing. |
| General Ledger | Trial balance, ledger detail and the statutory accounts. |
| Banking | Payments, deposits, transfers, statements and reconciliation. |
| Tax | VAT/GST returns on accrual or cash basis. |
| HRM & Payroll | Payslips, payroll history, attendance, loans and end of service. |
| Manufacturing | Bills of material, work orders and production. |
| Fixed Asset | Asset valuation. |
| CRM | Leads, estimates, proposals and project invoices. |
| Branches | Results split by branch, department or cost centre. |
Export to Excel when you intend to do anything further with the numbers. A PDF is the right format to send or file, but reformatting one back into a spreadsheet wastes the time the report just saved you.
Designing your own layouts
The Report Editor changes what a printed document looks like — page size, header, columns and footer — so invoices, statements and letters carry your own branding rather than the default layout.
