Rezo Floor and Tables
The Floor is the plan of your restaurant — areas, the tables in them, and what each table is doing. It is the screen a host or a section waiter works from, because the question it answers is the one asked all evening: which tables are free, which are waiting, and which are ready to be cleared.
Table states
| State | Means |
|---|---|
| Free | Available. |
| Reserved | Held for a booking. |
| Seated | Guests are there, nothing ordered yet. |
| Ordered | An order has gone to the kitchen. |
| Served | The food is on the table. |
| Billed | The bill has gone out. |
| Dirty | Guests have left; it needs clearing. |
| Merged | Joined to another table for one party. |
Dirty earns its place on the list. A table that is empty but not yet cleared is not free, and a floor plan that says it is will seat people at it.
Areas
Tables belong to areas — the terrace, the bar, upstairs. Areas are what let a waiter see their own section rather than the whole restaurant, and they are set up under settings.
Merging and splitting
Two tables pushed together for a large party are merged, and the merged table carries the party's single order. Splitting a bill is a separate matter, handled at billing — see Orders.
Order types
Not every order is at a table:
| Type | Notes |
|---|---|
| Dine In | At a table. |
| Takeaway | Collected. |
| Delivery | Sent out. |
| Bar | Served at the bar. |
