Opportunities List

The Opportunities tab is a strategic sales tool used to track potential revenue-generating deals at their earliest stage. Unlike a formal proposal or estimation, an Opportunity represents a "qualified lead" or a specific sales goal linked to a customer. This view allows sales managers to monitor the health of the sales funnel and predict future revenue based on the progress of these potential deals.

You can access this overview by navigating to Customer Module > Opportunities Tab within the customer detailed view. By centralizing these leads, you ensure that your sales team can prioritize high-value prospects and maintain a consistent follow-up schedule.

Field Definitions for the Opportunities List
The opportunities grid provides a snapshot of each potential deal’s status and value:
  • Opportunity Name: The descriptive title of the sales lead (e.g., "Q3 Server Upgrade" or "Bulk Order Inquiry").
  • Customer: The parent customer account associated with this potential business.
  • Status: The current stage of the lead (e.g., Prospecting, Qualified, Negotiation, Won, or Lost).
  • Opportunity Amount: The estimated total value of the deal. This helps in calculating the total "Weighted Pipeline" for the business.
  • Closing Date: The target date by which the sales team expects to convert this opportunity into a firm order.
  • Actions:
    • Edit (Orange Button): Click this to update the lead's progress, adjust the estimated value, or change the expected closing date.
    • Delete (Red X): Remove an opportunity from the list if it is no longer relevant or was entered in error.

Managing Your Sales Funnel
Use these features to keep your sales prospects organized and actionable:
  • Instant Search: Use the search bar at the top left to find a specific opportunity by name or status.
  • + Add New: Use the blue button at the top right to create a new opportunity for the current customer.
  • Entries Control: Adjust the view to show 10, 25, or 50 opportunities per page to match your sales volume.
  • Pagination: Use the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom right to browse through the customer's full lead history.

Note: Opportunities are the foundation of your sales reports. Once an Opportunity reaches a mature stage, it can be linked to Proposals or Sales Orders to show the complete conversion path from a lead to a closed deal.
