Quality Control
Quality Control turns the checks your team already does into records the ERP can act on. Inspection lots open by themselves when goods are received, produced, transferred, delivered or returned. Stock can be blocked until somebody takes a usage decision. Failures raise non-conformance reports, non-conformances drive corrective actions, and every step is signed and kept.
What the app covers
| Area | What it does |
|---|---|
| Inspection lots | A queue line per document line that needs checking, opened automatically when the document is posted. |
| Inspections | The check itself: sample size, characteristics, readings, defects and a pass/fail/hold result. |
| Sampling | 100%, a fixed quantity, a percentage, or AQL to ISO 2859-1 with skip-lot. |
| Quality holds | The register of blocked stock, with quarantine, release, return and scrap. |
| NCRs | Non-conformance reports with review-board disposition and cost of poor quality. |
| CAPA | Corrective and preventive actions with root cause, action owners and an effectiveness check. |
| Gauges | Measuring equipment and its calibration schedule. |
| SPC | Individuals and moving-range control charts, with Cp and Cpk capability. |
| Supplier quality | Scorecards and approval status per supplier. |
| Reports | Inspections, NCRs, CAPAs, process capability, supplier quality and the Certificate of Analysis. |
Where it appears
Quality has its own page, but most of the work happens where the document is. See Quality in the rest of the ERP for the Inspect action, the Inspections tab and the Incoming QC and Quality tabs added to Purchases and Manufacturing.
Setting it up

|---|---|
| 1. Decide where blocked goods wait and who owns quality | General settings |

Day to day
The Overview is the daily starting point: what is waiting for a decision, what is overdue, what is blocked, first-pass yield, the defects being found most often and the cost of poor quality for the period.
