EdgeBridge

EdgeBridge connects the hardware on your site to the ERP — barcode scanners, RFID readers, weighing scales, biometric units, GPS trackers and network printers. A small gateway program runs on a Windows machine on your own network, talks to the devices, and relays what they see to the ERP over the internet.

Why a gateway is needed

Most site hardware speaks a local protocol and has no route to a cloud ERP. The gateway sits between them: devices talk to it on your LAN, and it holds the one authenticated connection outward. Nothing on your network has to be exposed to the internet.

What the hardware can drive

Device	What it does in the ERP
Biometric unit	A fingerprint or face punch becomes an attendance record in HRM.
RFID reader	A tag read becomes a sighting, an access punch, or a line on a stock count.
Barcode scanner	Feeds item lookups and counting.
Weighing scale	Supplies weight to the transaction being entered.
Network printer	Lets a print profile target a printer on your own network.
GPS tracker	Reports position back as device events.

Watching the traffic

Keep Gateways & Keys separate from Traffic & Events when assigning roles. Reading the traffic is an operational job; issuing a gateway key is granting something on your network the right to talk to your ERP.
