The Tasks Tab serves as an internal project management tool specifically for this supplier. It allows users to create, assign, and track actionable items—such as contract renewals, pending quality checks, or follow-up calls—ensuring that no administrative or operational requirement is overlooked.
The Task Dashboard provides a high-level view of all activities. You can use the Search bar and filters like Status, Assigned To, and Priority to quickly locate specific tasks. To initiate a new assignment, simply click the + New Task button.
Task List Columns
The main table provides an overview of ongoing and historical tasks, allowing for quick status updates:
- Task Name: The title of the task, which also acts as a link to view full details.
- Start Date: The scheduled date on which work for the task is intended to begin.
- Due Date: The final deadline for completing the task to ensure timely operations.
- Priority: A dropdown selector (e.g., Low, Medium, High) that allows you to adjust the urgency of the task directly from the list.
- Staff: The name of the internal team member currently responsible for the task.
- Status: A dynamic dropdown (e.g., In Progress, Complete) that allows users to update the current progress of the task in real-time.
- Action Icons: Use the Edit link to modify the task details or the Red X icon to permanently remove the task record.
New Task Form (Add/Edit)
When creating or editing a task, the following fields allow for detailed documentation and assignment:
- Task Name/Title: A mandatory field to define the core objective of the task.
- Description: A rich-text editor used to provide detailed instructions, links, or context. It supports formatting like bolding, lists, and images.
- Public: A checkbox that, when enabled, may make the task visible to external users or in shared reporting views.
- Start Date & Due Date: Interactive calendar fields to set the timeline for the task.
- Priority: Defines the importance of the task to help staff prioritize their workload.
- Assigned To: A dropdown list of system users, allowing you to delegate the task to a specific staff member.
- Status: Sets the current phase of the task (e.g., Pending, In Progress).
- Add Field: Strategically placed buttons that allow users to insert additional custom data points if the standard fields do not suffice.
Administrative Actions
Finalize your task entries with these controls:
- + Add New: Saves the task details and adds it to the supplier's active task list.
- Close (X): Located at the top right, this closes the modal and returns you to the dashboard without saving changes.
